These simply baked whole chicken wings are so easy to make and can be a quick dinner idea to cook on busy nights.

As said above, just a few ingredients are needed for this simple recipe.

  • 12-15 whole chicken wings
  • salt and pepper
  • sweet paprika
  • garlic powder
  • little oil

πŸ— How To Make This Recipe

1. Prep the chicken wings

Wash and pat dry your chicken wings. Cut them half-way through on the bottom side to open them up to stay flat and cook evenly. I also cut their tips.

Place them in a bawl and add spices and seasoning. Rub well with you hands to cover them all over in spices. Add the oil and toss a little more.

2. Bake

Transfer the chicken wings to an large sheet pan / oven tray lined with parchment paper. Arrange them in a singe layer with enough space between them to cook and crisp.

Bake them at 450F for about 40-45 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Turn them over at half time to cook evenly on both sides.

This way these whole chicken wings will be baked to a juicy perfection and crispy skin. Take them out of the oven and place on a platter / serving dish.

I serve them with mashed potatoes or quickly sauteed veggies (broccoli, green peas, green beans, mexican mix) whatever I have.

Ingredients

  • 12-15 whole chicken wings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  • Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry. Cut them open on the bottom side to flatten them and cut the tips too (optional). Place them into a bawl and sprinkle all dry ingredients. Rub them well with your hands. Add the oil and give them a quick toss.
  • Line a baking tray or a sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange the whole chicken wings side by side in a single layer. Bake at 450 F for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip them over after 25 minutes to evenly cook on both sides.
    Transfer onto a serving dish and serve with mashed potatoes, rice or sauteed vegetables and a seasonal salad.
